Amy Furlan Benefit Concert

Mars Hill Church Ballard hosted the Amy Furlan Benefit Concert on Friday evening.  The event was in an effort to help reduce Amy’s ongoing medical costs; you can also donate here in case you missed out.  Joey and Amy met when he was in an 80′s cover band, so the band got together again that night for fun music and dancing.  Many people came to support Amy from all the other campuses, and it was just so good to see everyone having such a fun time.  Joey and Amy were such a sweet couple to meet and so full of joy!  My favorite was when they played The Cure’s “Just Like Heaven.”  Joey told me he had been playing that song for so many years; one of his favorites also.  It was also weird that I’ve actually seen 2 bands (The Cure and B-52′s) out of the bunch that they played that night, haha!  Thanks to Holly, Dave, Cliff and everyone else from the Mars Hill Blog for having me shoot this super fun night!!
