Wow!! I am SO excited to share this set of photos with ya’ll AND this beautiful lady!! I’ve noticed…since I’ve started this project in the winter, most of the shoots have been more warm toned and such…and FINALLY these are my most favorite and is why I started loving photography–bright and colorful with blue skies, big fluffy white clouds, and the greenest of green grasses. Spring is HERE!! This was so last minute, but I was like “Ellie, I need to do your shoot here!!!” SO perfect with her long blonde hair and Dutch roots :D I went here last year, but the weather was a little junky, so it wasn’t the same experience…but this time–the weather was just splendid with perfect clouds and just enough sun. I’ve also never really shot in direct sunlight, so we have more landscapey ones here because you can’t really find shade in the fields!! I know….so there’s not actually tulips here, though we did see them, but some reason we just absolutely fell in love the the bright yellow daffodils!! SOOOO amazing!!! Moving on to how I actually know my sweet Elizabeth! I met Ellie just around November of 2010 in the most random, Jesus-totally-planned-it, way. She was another one of my regulars at Starbies and was paying one day….I had saw “Luke 12:21” written on her debit card, and I immediately asked if they went to Mars Hill. A few weeks after, there was a sermon where we were to write that verse on our cards to let us think twice before we bought things as we are supposed to be good stewards of God’s money. Shortly after, I saw her at church again and was so stoked to see her outside of work! We then started hanging out more, and Ellie was just one of those people where when I had first met them, I felt like we had been friends forever! Those friendships are always so refreshing and just being able to really see that God put her in my life for a reason. Ellie is also my very first Canadian friend!! I am always so excited to hear about her life in Vancover, B.C. I also love getting new people in the city connected to this beautiful place…there are so many great people and things here that it’s too good to not experience :) A few months later, I now find myself working with her in the same office! She is such a great joy and blessing to my life. My sweet Elizabeth, I cannot be any more stoked that you have been brought into my life and really hope to continue growing and sharing life with you :) You are a very special friend to me–I feel like our story is totally evidence of God’s work and how He brings His children together!
P.S. So the very last picture here….I won’t say why it’s there, but if any of you know me well enough….then you’ll think it’s funny and so perfect. Enjoy :)
