Week 2 | Stephanie

Well, what can I say about Stephanie, except that she is probably one of the most encouraging, beautiful and graceful ladies I have ever met.  I met Steph about a year and a half ago in the summer; we both had just moved to Seattle around the same time, and we were just so new to the area and didn’t really know anyone in the city.  She had started professionally dancing at a ballet company, which I had the honor to attend a show, and it was just so inspiring and beautiful to watch!  Steph has such a huge passion and heart for dancing, and it is just so amazing to witness her doing what she loves.  We took a trip down to Portland, OR last weekend, and she showed us around in the city.  Thank you to her parents in Vancouver, WA for having us stay with them; we had such a great time hanging out!  These were taken on the road up to Council Crest and at the park after it was closed.  The windy road leading up to the top was so pretty that we had to stop and take photos there.  The elevation was so high that we were actually in the clouds with a mixture of fog and mist.  This was such a fun shoot–it reminds me of a mystical forest.  Thank you, Stephanie, for being such a great friend this past year; I have learned so much from you and know we’ll be friends for a very long time  :)

P.S.  And thank you soooo much for always providing a ton of laughter when I need it the most!

Stephanie G - I love you Karen! I’m so touched by your words and friendship… It has been so beautiful to see your photography develop over this past year and a half– from ferry rides to road trips, you have an elegant and breathtaking way of capturing whatever situation you find yourself in. Thank you for so generously donating your talents to documenting your friends –may God be praised and reflected through each and every picture!

Dahnya - Wangie, the ones of your beautiful ballerina at twilight are SPECTACULAR!! I cannot wait to see how the rest of your 2011 project will turn out!! :)

PS: If you were ever willing to do it, my brother in law (Matty), lives in Seattle and he’d be an awesome subject. He’s getting his master in drama at UW. Hmm…don’t know how he’d feel about me pimping him out…

Ali Migliore - WWOOWWW. These are incredible. The series in front of, what looks like, the moon is so great. Really beautiful shots, Karen.

Emma Gross - SOSOSOSOSOSOSOOOO COOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLL i didnt even know she was a REAL ballerina :D :D :D

Jill Gaebel - Karen, What a nice tribute to Stephanie and breathtaking array of photographs! You truly have some unique talent there! I hope these “friend features” serve to expand your business!
