Well, what can I say about Jims, except that he’s become a HUGE part in my life over the past year–and I didn’t even see it coming. We met through a mutual friend a little over a year ago when I was still newish to the city, and he had kind of just jumped back into Seattle. I was stoked to meet another photographer, but it wasn’t until a few months after until we became friends….and later found out he actually did coding. o_O I sometimes have this thing where I don’t really let people in my life until after a couple tries….and Jims was that special person to me. :) After a few months of persisting friendship with me, I finally gave in, and all of a sudden we started hanging out all the time. Last summer was so interesting though….I felt like so much happened during that time….a lot of growth in both of us has occurred since. You are one of the very few people I have truly invested a lot of time in and foresee you being in my life for a very long time. You are SO special to me, and you fill a special place in my heart and have become one of my best friends up here. You have honestly been there for me every time I needed a friend–no questions asked. A few months ago, I had the chance to go up to his hometown of Bellingham, WA one weekend and hang out with his whole family, in which that his little sister, Elizabeth, has also become a close and dear friend to me as well. Jims has such a huge heart for his family and friends, and it has been just very endearing to witness. He would do just about anything for the people he loves. God has definitely put you in my life for a very special reason even when I first didn’t receive it well. I know it took me forever to finally open up, but I am so stoked that we are able to share so much with each other. You’ve been such an amazing friend and most of all–a brother in Christ to me, and I am so very thankful to have you be part of my life and be alongside my walk with God. I would have never imagined to become best friends with a 1110110001001101001101011 person, but I honestly have learned so much from you. It has also been a great joy to see God’s continuous work in your life, and I just KNOW the Lord has something super awesome in store for you in the very near future. And lastly, I thank you for being the big brother that I never had–I truly love and care for you very much, James Malone.
P.S. So I took these photos….like a long, long time ago. Probably a good 3 or 4 months ago, ha! So I was going to wait until the end to post about the location. The first set with the snow is when we went up the Snoqualmie area to find mountains and snow…unfortunately, something happened….and we had to do another part 2 of the shoot. So Jims didn’t actually bring a change of clothes….like Will did–hahahahaaaa. And which explains why he looks kind of different as well….with no glasses and less facial hair… o_O Part 2 was actually only taken in June around the Ballard–probably one of the coolest places for texture and walls. Amazing light as well as summer is approaching, and it literally stays light until 9pm now. SO nice!
