First of all–if I didn’t know Toes, I would think he was either: 1. Lenny Kravitz 2. Some type of model or 3. He came straight out of a Gap catalog. So very interesting. On his shoot, Toes kept telling me he was laughing too much, and I was like “Oh whatever, I don’t know what you’re talking about,” but now as I had put together this blog–it was very true. But it’s a good thing!! Laughter is my favorite in photo shoots. :D Why be so serious and whatever when we can just have fun and love life? These photos totally reflect the joy in him, so that’s all that matters! I first met Toes about 2 years ago probably at a mutual friend’s house and didn’t really talk to him much at all. I don’t think it was until I moved to the Hill that I got to know him better since he was living there as well. It was SO randomly planned, but a group of us were going camping at the San Juan Islands during Memorial Day weekend last year, and we decided to bring Toes along. Kind of funny that I remember…but a couple of us were supposed to go to Folk Life that weekend, but instead we skipped out and went camping instead, haha. Which was totally worth it because we had such a blast. A lot of us didn’t know each other very well, but we had some really great talks on how God has worked and was working in our lives. Got to know Toes pretty well last summer during my angsty times haha and I’ve learned a ton since. We took these over in Pioneer Square where we both work now and had a really great time catching up. I feel like every time I hang out with Toes, I always have a really great conversation with him. He’s always asking me questions and is super engaging. So, thank you also for sharing your life with me–God’s continuous pursuit for you is evident as He is guiding you in this new stage of your life. It has been a huge encouragement to see your growth this past year–I truly enjoyed hearing how the Lord has been working in you these past few months. Toes, you are one of the most kind and loving people I have met here in Seattle–I am so stoked for you right now as you are following what God has called you to. Thanks for being my friend–you will always be my black sheep.
