Week 29 | Luz

LUZZZZZZAAAAAAA!!!  LUZ.  How super special that I know this beautiful lady!!  :D  I’ve known and heard of Luz through a mutual friend for the longest time but never got to finally meet her until we were having a photog meeting about shooting Easter.  A few months later…I was upstairs visiting with a co-worker and I turn to my right and someone was like “I KNOW YOU!”  I had to think for a little…and was like “Who is that?  o_O” but I figured it out, haha.  I’m so bad with faces sometimes.  From there, I just KNEW that God put Luz in my life for a reason.  :)  What are the odds that we all of a sudden became co-workers?!  Every morning that I get to see her, we give each other a big hug–and she absolutely just makes my heart smile with joy.  How special is that we get to go to work and talk about Jesus with your co-workers?  Totally blows my mind sometimes on how cool the people we work with are–I am so incredibly thankful to be part of such a beautiful place.  It’s been SO good to get to know Luz these past few months.  The Bratchers have welcomed me into their home several times and been incredibly hospitable and loving to me–I feel so special to know these two.  :)  :)  We had her shoot at Luz and Cole’s first apartment together after they got married last year….it was so cool to hear the many great stories shared in their first home together as a married couple.  So I thank you for sharing your life and home with me–such a perfect place to take pictures around their apartment/neighborhood right before their big move!  The Bratchers actually JUST moved into a new house over in Capitol Hill (almost Montlake, ha!) to start an artist ministry home.  The house is AMAZING, and there are some very special artist ladies who will be living there with them that I know!  Super exciting as these two are starting a new chapter of their life.  I can already see God’s providence over these past few weeks and how He never stops loving us and is always faithful–no matter what.  Thank you, Luz, for sharing your life with me in these short months.  You have been a HUGE encouragement to me–I always love our talks, and it is a great joy that I get to work with such a beautiful, talented and loving lady such as yourself.  Your smile and laughter in these photos reflect the image of Christ, and I cannot be any more stoked that you have been brought into my life.  I am so excited to share more special memories with you and Cole very soon.

jimmy - I like the two settings – it’s almost like seeing two sides of Luz!
