Hmmmm….so I was looking for a Texas object, and this was actually the closest thing that I could find that wasn’t my old license plates. It’s this Texas mug that I indian-gave to Jennifer last year when I flew to Austin to shoot a wedding and brought back some Texan memorabilia for a few folks here in Seattle. When we all moved out of the old Capitol Hill apartment–I decided to keep the mug (sorry Jennifer), and now I’ve been using it everyday at work. It’s extremely large, and my coffee only seems to fill half the cup every morning; but for some strange reason….carrying around this giant Texas mug is so fun. Maybe because secretly I am a proud Texan, but I really wish I wasn’t. One side has a Texas flag and the other is Big Tex. I actually just learned about who that really is–I kept thinking it was just some phrase or something. I confess that I am not a true Texan because I was actually born in Boston. O_o SURPRISE!!! But I thought it’d be fun to take pictures of my mug around the office with the nice brick and things–it’s also pretty much where the mug lives, so it was the most convenient. And I wanted to point out that Texans are HILARIOUS, and I always love it when I’m with them….soooooo funny, we just get each other. :)
