So, this is a super cool story that I am excited to share with everyone!! Meet Jackie. She’s Texan. About 5 years ago, we attended the same college and had never met each other before during school. However, I did know her (now) husband, Cody, through a few mutual friends. Crossed paths a couple of times at a few partays, here and there. Jackie graduated 3 years before me, so I never really had the chance to run into her. Fast forward to this fall, I get a super random phone call from Cody asking about Seattle and neighborhoods to live in. Turns out he was thinking about taking a job transfer up here to the great northwest!! Super cool to just catch up on the phone and talk about where we were all at in life. Alsoooo, I found out Jackie works for our sister company down in Texas!! SUCH a small world. Anyways, a few weeks later, Cody flew up here for a week to look for place to live, and then the next thing I knew–they were driving the same 2,000 mile route I took in 2009 to begin their new life in Washington state. They both appreciate the outdoors SO much, so it’s so nice to have people who get so excited about all the beautiful things we get to be surrounded by. :) I couldn’t wait to hang out with them when they got here, so they came up to Seattle (now they live in Renton) to meet up with me!! It was SO good to see familiar faces after so many years. And there’s something about being around Texans that is just so comfortable and homey….maybe it was their accents, haha. It was like the first thing I noticed. Anyways, I had a blast showing them my new city and just catching up. Onto the photo shoot…Jackie loves running, and she found this awesome trail by their new apartment, so I figured it would be most fitting to do her shoot here! Thank you, Jackie and Cody, for being so kind to me since ya’ll have moved up here! I am so stoked to have you both here to enjoy this beautiful place with me–there is a ton of more stuff I want to show you, but I am very limited on time, haha. But we do have a while now since ya’ll are now WA state residents!! Woohoo! Love ya’ll.
