Week 44 | Mike

Ohhhh my goodness, it feels like it took forever to get Mikey’s mystery shoot done, but HERE IT IS!!!!  I am soooo excited to share him with ya’ll.  This is also the 3rd person named Mike to be part of my project haha, but Mike is seriously one of the coolest dudes I have ever met.  First met him the summer of 2010 at Musco‘s buffalo bbq party, and I think it was literally a day right before me, Niks, and J were moving into our new apartment on the hill.  Little did he know…..that move was going to change his life…..dun dun dun!!  Hahhaha.  Anyways, hung out with him and the dudes for while and got to know him better.  As an engineer, he had a very different sense of humor than me, so it was hard to adjust to at first…but now I think Mike’s hilarious.  :)  I had the privilege of being trapped with him and some other folks for a long period of time on our Olympia trip, and I would say that’s when I really got to know who Mikey was.  He has this totally chill personality that I love, and I feel like I can pretty much talk to him about anything.  Mike has one of hugest hearts that I have ever seen and is one of the most kind, loving, caring and generous guys that’s been a part of my life–all reflected through God.  He just always pointed everything back to Jesus, and it was hella convicting.  The coolest thing that happened was that Mike ended up marrying my best Seattle friend, Jennifer.  It has been so awesome to have been there since the beginning of their relationship and also before they even met!!  God is so good, and he has put these two in my life for a very special reason, and they mean the world to me.  I also have to say that I sometimes have the gift of marriage prophecy, and I totally called theirs, haha.  I remember when Mikey first told me he fancied Jenny, I immediately texted her and told her I knew who her husband was going to be…and BAM–now they’re married.  Also, I knew he was the one when he photoshopped reindeer features on a picture of JoJo we took; it was SO funny (totally tried digging up the picture, but couldn’t find it).  Wow…it’s just crazy to think back on all that happened and how it all began.  :)  God does some amazing things, and I am soooo glad this amazing dude married one amazing lady and that I get to be part of their lives as their baby Wang.  :)  Love you, Linqust’s.

P.S.  Totally forgot to talk about our shoot, but we went up to Bob’s in Snohomish to do his shoot in the pumpkin patch and corn maze!!!  (Pumpkins are very symbolic to him)  I’ve never been before and it was seriously the most fun we’ve all had in a while.  Went up with three of my best friends, and it was a blast being trapped with them all day.  :)  And Mike also might be a model.
