Some of you may or may not know that I have this unhealthy obsession with clouds. Pretty much of all kinds–in real life and in cartoon clouds. There is just something so magnificent about them that is indescribable. I’m pretty sure every day that I am outside walking to work or whatever, I always observe them and see what they are looking like that day. At work, I stare out my window and watch the clouds move and change right in front of me. I am so stoked on cloudy weather, and I am actually not really fond of clear blue skies at all–BORING. Anyways, if you’ve never noticed clouds before (a great number of people seem to never even notice them), I suggest you start looking at the sky from now on, and it can be an amazing thing. God has created one beautiful piece of fluff, and I can never believe my eyes at times. I also like to draw these cartoon looking clouds as well….in which you may or may not know about, and they look exactly like this piece I am holding in the photos below. These are wall decals given to me from a special friend. I decided to shoot one last object for my project and what else better to shoot than clouds?? I took these decals over to Golden Gardens as it is one of my most favorite places to watch the sunset and clouds at. I remember when I first visited GG two years ago, I had seen this amazing pink sunset over the Olympic Mts. How is it possible that we live less than 5 miles from such a beautiful beach with this incredible view?! Sand, water, and mountains–it can’t get any better. Since it is winter, I almost never have the chance to run over to the west side to see the sunset because it sets around 4pm now. So, this will probably be one of the last sunsets I will shoot of the year!! But how fitting….a cloud silhouetted against a beautiful sunset. :)
