Whistler, B.C.

Last weekend, I took a trip up Canada to Whistler.  It’s so amazing that we can drive only 5 hours and be in a different country, but in Texas, we’d be driving that much and still be in the same state.  This was my first vacation I’ve taken in probably over a year, where I wasn’t traveling for work, so it was good to just relax and hang out with some of my best friends.  We stayed at the Fairmont Chateau for two nights.  This is also my first time coming to Canada since I was little, so it was so awesome and strange that we were actually in a foreign country.  I had gotten my passport earlier this summer, but still hadn’t been able to make the trip up, so I’m glad we finally did before the year ended!  The drive through Bellingham into Vancouver up to Whistler was one of the most scenic routes I have ever seen.  Everything was so blue and green with snowy mountains and rolling clouds.  I officially love it up north, I almost want to move to Canada.  I had an amazing time hanging out with everyone that weekend, thanks to those who were part of it, and thank you to James for driving us up there.  This was truly a winter wonderland!

P.S.  There is also a little road trip video I took with my iPhone at the bottom of this post…who knew the phone was HD?
